This is the last night to sell magazines. A reminder that you need 5 subscriptions total to go to the Rock Paper Scissors event and 6 to get into the ice cream party UNLESS you brought in enough on DISCOUNT TUESDAY (3 for RPS and 4 for Ice Cream) Also, for those of you aiming for the bonus rounds, its 10 subs for the first round and 15 for the second round. If you need paper supplies please see Mr. Nabuurs.
JAZZ BAND WILL have it’s first rehearsal this coming Wednesday at lunch time.
THE ZONE 3 GOLF QUALIFIER had to be changed due to a conflict at the course, therefore, it will now be on Thursday instead of Wednesday – same times at Countryview.
CROSS COUNTRY RUNNING – Practice today, all runners please attend. There will be a brief meeting tomorrow to discuss the unit meet (next Tuesday, October 4th). Any students playing Fall sports that would like to attend the unit meet please see Mr. Rogerson or Ms. Doyle-Hogan today.
BOYS TEAM 1 VOLLEYBALL – Please meet with Mrs. Butler in the cafeteria at break.
EWS TERRY FOX RUN/WALK: Thank you to all students and staff for an excellent event on Thursday! EWS raised close to $500 that will be donated to The Terry Fox Foundation.
BOY’S SOCCER will practice at the turf today. Please leave on bus 171 at dismissal.
INTRAMURALS: Free-play badminton. Come early to book your court.
FIELD HOCKEY: Practice today, 3:30-5:00 pm at EWS with a parent meeting afterwards. Game tomorrow in Montague at 4:30 pm.
THE HOLLAND COLLEGE HURRICANES DANCE TEAM would like you to “Save the Date” for their first ever Junior & Senior High School Dance Competition. Please relay to your students that have an interest in dance – Saturday, December 3rd – There will be an open competition for school-based teams to perform & compete in front of their parents & peers.
GIRLS VOLLEYBALL: Played over the weekend at the M.E. Callaghan Invitational with 5 matches in total. They had 4 wins and 1 heartbreaking loss (25-17, 18-25,15-13) against a tough South Colchester Academy.
They won the 5-6 placement match with every single player contributing in 2 straight sets (25-10, 25-23) fantastic team effort and a no- quit attitude. Congratulations on a great weekend!
