ATTENTION GRADE 9 STUDENTS – TAKE YOUR CHILD TO WORK DAY – Tomorrow November 2nd – This is the final day to get permission forms in to your health teachers.
DJ CLUB – Meeting today at break in Mr. MacCallum’s office. Any students in grade 7,8 or 9 that are interested in the club are welcome to attend.
SCIENCE FAIR CLUB – There will be a 2 minute meeting during the break for the students who signed up for the Science Fair Club. The meeting will take place in Ms. Deveau’s homeroom.
THE R2D2 BUILDERS CLUB will meet again on Wednesday, November 2 after school in Mr. Casey’s room until 4:00pm. Bring some clothes you can get dirty in.
HOCKEY ACADEMY – Reminder that due to Take Your Kids to Work Day on Wednesday that Hockey Academy this week will run TODAY. Everything else is as usual.
Also, the Gr.7 group will go to Synergy Fitness and Nutrition on Thursday at 2:00 pm. Drives to be ready as soon as possible after 3:30 pm. All students please ensure they get and complete work from teachers that will be missed while attending the academy.
COMPASSION IT Any students or staff interested in helping out with the Christmas Shoebox Campaign this year, there will be a short meeting after school today.
BOYS SOCCER – The Boys Soccer team will play for the Bronze medal today at 4pm at the Cornwall Turf. With teacher permission, students can dismiss at 2:50pm to catch the bus 171 heading to the turf. Parents can pick students up at the turf upon completion of the game.
DESTINATION IMAGINATION – Will begin soon. This year we are forming a Service Community Group. We are looking for creative ways to help our community. Please see Mrs. MacDonald to ask questions or sign up.
BOYS BASKETBALL PRACTICE Friday at 4:45pm and Saturday morning at 9:30am.
MENTORSHIP PROGRAM – Reminder to the Mentorship Group we will be going to Eliot River 1st period on Thursday.
LEADERSHIP: Thank you to the Leadership Students and their Co-leaders for organizing and running Intramural Spooktacular. Very well done!
INTRAMURALS: Sign ups begin today for Q-Tip Ball. You may sign up individually or make your own team of 5. Deadline to sign up it tomorrow (Wednesday).

FIELD HOCKEY: Congratulations to the field hockey team on winning the Gold medal at the Provincial Championships on Thursday! The game went into double overtime, with Claire Pickens and Maria McLane scoring in the shootout competition for a final score of 2-0 for EWS. Maddison Thompson had an outstanding game in net, making key saves to help secure the win for the Warriors. Maddison earned her 9th shutout of the season. The win was certainly a full team effort with all players contributing to earn Gold. Congratulations to Claire Pickens on being named an All-Star and to Sophie Flynn on being named Most Valuable Player for the league.
GIRLS SOCCER – No game today. Next game will be Thursday @ 3:45pm @ Cornwall Turf Field.
