TODAY IS MR. FRANCIS LAST DAY HERE AT EWS (STUDENT TEACHER WITH MR. MACCALLUM AND MR. CASEY).  WE WISH HIM ALL THE BEST HIS NEXT ADVENTURE.

HIGH SCHOOL REGISTRATION FOR GRADE 9 STUDENTS IS APRIL 6TH – THIS IS A REGULAR SCHOOL DAY FOR OUR GRADE 9 STUDENTS AND THERE WILL BE CLASSES FOR ALL GRADE 9 STUDENTS.

REMINDER TO ALL CLASSES – PLEASE CLEAN OUT LOCKERS BEFORE MARCH BREAK!!!!!!!

 CORNWALL & AREA YOUTH CENTRE – Cornwall & Area Youth Centre and Youth Advisory Committee  will have a Parent Information Session on Wednesday, March 15th, 6PM in the school cafeteria.

 MME ST-COEUR IS OFFERING TUTORING SESSIONS  for any subjects taught in French.  The next session will be Wednesday after school until 4:00 in Room 907. Everyone is welcome!

SKI TRIP TOMORROW *Students are reminded  that if they have their own ski gear that they need to bring it and have it dropped off and picked up at Brookvale. (No gear allowed on the buses)  We will be at Brookvale at  9:20am and  leaving the hill around 1:15pm.  Any students who want to attend now,must have their own equipment or they will be unable to attend on Thursday.  There will be regular classes for students on Thursday for those that are not attending the ski day.  There will be a canteen open and students can also bring a lunch as well.  Please remind students to dress appropriately for the weather, i.e hat, gloves, snow pants, jacket, etc.  Teachers should have notes from parents,if students are not taking the bus to and from Brookvale.

In case of cancellation it will be announced on 105.5 and 100.3 radio stations and on the schools website.

INTRAMURALS: Tug-o-war championship matches will take place today. Schedules are posted in the lobby and gym.

HOLLAND HURRICANES ARE HOSTING A BASKETBALL CLINIC in conjunction with their hosting of the CCAA Men’s Basketball Championships being held at Holland College March 15th – 18th.

What: Basketball Clinic organized by PEI’s George Morrison with help by CCAA Men’s Basketball All-Canadian’s and Coach of Year nominees

When: Wednesday March 15th 4:00pm – 5:30pm

Where: Holland College Centre for Community Engagement 323 Grafton St. Charlottetown

Who: 30 spots available for U12 groups, another 30 spots available for Junior High Groups

FYI* Parents are welcome watch the clinic and enjoy the experience.

Bonshaw Ceilidh

March 26  2- 4pm The monthly Ceilidh Concert at the Bonshaw Hall will be Sunday, March 26 from 2 – 4 pm (storm day April 2). Performers include special musical guests ‘Campfire Dave Connolly’;singer/songwriter Megan Ellands; singer David MacKay; singer/songwriter/pianist Andrea Corder and guitarist Gabriel Vizcaino from UPEI; Holland College SOPA grad Destiny Best; stepdancer  Bridget Patterson from Reel Talent School of Dance : and  fiddler TBA; plus regulars Herb MacDonald, Phil Pineau and Tony the Troubador. 50/50 draw, delicious lunch, and open stage time. Admission is by donation with proceeds going to the Gallant Family Fire Fund. Everyone welcome; accessible for small wheelchairs.
