Monday, APRIL 24th – DAY 3

SISTER ACT MUSICAL – EWS students are invited to attend the musical; Sister Act, presented by Montague Regional High School.
When: Tuesday morning, May 9
Cost: $8.00 per student
Time: We will be leaving at 9:00 am and returning in time for late lunch.
Where: Montague High School gym
Pass in your $8.00 to your homeroom teacher by Thursday, May 4th to reserve your seat!!

REMINDER – EAST WILTSHIRE IS A SCENT FREE SCHOOL – PLEASE REFRAIN FROM WEARING ANY SCENTED PRODUCTS!!!!!!

DESTINATON IMAGINATION FUNDRAISER – TICKETS ARE AVAILABLE IN THE MAIN OFFICE FOR A GIFT BASET OF GOODIES.

TICKETS ARE 1 FOR $2.00 OR 3 for $5.00

PROCEEDS TOWARDS TRIP TO NASHVILLE, TN

 RAMP IT UP – Monday and Tuesday of this week there will be a sucker sale to raise money for a new ramp for Connor Waye’s Van.  Cost will be .50 or $1.00.

PEERHELPING MEETING – A short meeting will be held at the beginning of 6th period today.

YOGA – Tomorrow 3:15-4:15pm.

DENTAL CLINIC – The yellow forms can be returned either directly to the clinic in room 217(if locked slip under the door) or send to the main office.

COMPASSION IT is challenging all homeroom classes to bring in any spare change they may have to help support the PEI Humane Society.  The challenge ends on Friday, April 21st.  The homeroom that raises the most money will win a double lunch! Best of luck to all participating classes.

SUMMER TUTOR FORMS – Anyone looking for summer tutor forms with The Council of People with Disabilities please contact Ms. Natalie MacKinnon @ nymackinnon@edu.pe.ca

EWS HOCKEY ACADEMY – Any student interested in applying for the EWS Hockey Academy for next year can get an application from the main office.  They should be returned to the office before May 12th.

WRESTLING – ISLAND SWEEP!  EWS WRESTLING TEAM CLEANS UP IN ALL DIVISIONS!!!

CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL THE WRESTLERS AND THANK YOU FOR A GREAT SEASON.

 TRACK & FIELD: Tryouts will begin Monday, April 24th for the school track and field team at Bluefield High School from 3:30-4:30. Students will take a bus at dismissal from EWS and must arrange their own drive to pick them up at Bluefield. If you have any questions, please see Ms. Sanderson.

BOYS BASEBALL SESSION tomorrow from 3:15 – 4:30pm.  Reminder to submit your permission slip forms.

TRACK & FIELD: Tryouts will begin today for the school track and field team at Bluefield High School from 3:30-4:30. Students will take a Bus # (to be announced later) at dismissal from EWS and must arrange their own drive to pick them up at Bluefield. If you have any questions, please see Ms. Sanderson.

GIRLS SOFTBALL: First tryout will take place today 4:15-5:15 pm. It will be outdoors so dress accordingly.

Congratulations to the wrestling teams.  EWS won Intermediate boys and girls as well as Bantam boys and girls championships on Friday in Montague.  Individual results are posted on the bulletin board where the permission forms are.

 RISE AND CLIMB ADVENTURE COURSE

Rise and Climb will be offering Laser Tag Club for after school students. Four weeks of laser tag fun in the Laser Tag PEI woods just behind Rise and Climb Adventure Course. Each session lasts 1.5 hours starting at 3 and ending at 4:30 pm. Each session will focus on technical skills, strategy but mostly just active play in the wooded course. We’ll play different games each week including last man standing, capture the flag, assassins, aliens, evacuation, etc.

Dates:Fridays for Grades 4-6, May 26 – June 16
Thursdays for Grades 7-9, May 25 – June 15
