 SPRING INTO SUMMER – Spend a minimum of $5.00 in the cafeteria, sign your receipt for a chance to win at $30.00 gift card from Freak Lunch Box.

 SEMI DANCE , Thursday, June 8th –  This is the GRADE 9 SEMI (grade 8 students may attend).  Grade 7’s attending with grade 9’s and people from outside the school are asked to leave at 8:00pm. JUST TO CLARIFY, GRADE 7’S CAN ONLY ATTEND THE SEMI WITH GRADE 9 STUDENTS.  GRADE 9 STUDENTS CAN BRING SOMEONE FROM OUTSIDE THE SCHOOL – THESE STUDENTS MUST BE SIGNED IN ON THE LIST AT THE OFFICE PRIOR TO SEMI.  Pictures begin at 6:00 – 7:00pm (pictures will be outside weather permitting).  The dance starts at 7:00pm.

STUDENT COUNCILSummer, Floral, Tropical Theme Day – Friday, May 19th – $1.00 to participate.  All proceeds towards semi decorations.

 DENTAL CLINIC – The yellow forms can be returned either directly to the clinic in room 217(if locked slip under the door) or send to the main office.  Please be sure to return the form with a yes or no indicated.

COMPASSION IT MEETING after school tomorrow, Tuesday, May 16th from 3:15-4:15.  This is to complete our May project before next week!!  All are asked to attend.

CHECKER/CHESS CLUB – Any students on grade 7 lunch interested in a checker/chess club please meet in Ms. MacKinley-Curran’s class at the start of lunch today.

Flag Football Result: The girls AA Flag Football team had a great start to their football season beating both Stonepark and Montague.  Scoring touchdowns for EWS were Jenaya Ross, MacKayla Vos, Anna MacAleer, Annika Greer, and Louisa McMurrer.  Awesome defensive play by Louisa McMurrer with 5 interceptions and a touch down.   Way to go girls keep it up.

Badminton:  There are still badminton jerseys that need to be returned – Bradley Chisholm, Hayden Ford, and Alexis Fougere).  Please get them in this week.

Spring Sports (Football, Softball, Baseball, and Track and Field):  Athletic fees need to be paid by the end of next week (May 19).  Fees are $10.00 each for football, softball and baseball, $5.00 for track and field.  The track and field team has not been finalized yet, so we will be collecting that next Thursday (Meet day at UPEI).

 Girls Softball practice in the gym from 4:00 – 5:15 today.

Monday:

Track practice at Bluefield.

3:40 – A Girls football vs. Vernon River @ Cornwall Turf

4:30 – A Girls football vs. Gulf Shore @ Cornwall Turf

4:45 – 6:30 A and AA Boys football practice.  Those going to track practice are asked to get back for football as soon as they can.

Tuesday:

3:40 – AA Boys football vs. Francois Buote @ Cornwall Turf

4:30 – AA Boys football vs. Queen Charlotte @ Cornwall Turf

4:00 – Girls softball vs. Queen Charlotte @ Queen Elizabeth Field (end of Belvedere Ave. near the water)

3:30 – 4:45 – AA Girls football practice.

A GIRLS FLAG FOOTBALL: Games today at the turf – 3:40 versus Vernon River and 4:30 versus Gulf Shore. Players are asked to please dismiss at 2:55 and take Bus #171 at dismissal.

EWS TRACK & FIELD: Practice for the running events will take place today at Bluefield, 3:30-4:30 pm. Take Bus #153 at dismissal.

The Zone 3 Meet is scheduled this Thursday, May 18th at UPEI.
