 DUKE OF EDINBURGH AWARD CEREMONY – REMINDER TO PARTICIPANTS TO BE AT HOLLAND COLLEGE GYMNASIUM BY 6:15PM TONIGHT. PLEASE LET MS. MACKINNON KNOW IF YOU CANNOT ATTEND.

 CONGRATULATIONS TO MR. CUSACK WHO IS GRADUATING FROM THE MASTERS PROGRAM THIS WEEKEND!!!

 SPRING INTO SUMMER – Spend a minimum of $5.00 in the cafeteria, sign your receipt for a chance to win at $30.00 gift card from Freak Lunch Box.

 SEMI DANCE , Thursday, June 8th –  This is the GRADE 9 SEMI (grade 8 students may attend).  Grade 7’s attending with grade 9’s and people from outside the school are asked to leave at 8:00pm. JUST TO CLARIFY, GRADE 7’S CAN ONLY ATTEND THE SEMI WITH GRADE 9 STUDENTS.  GRADE 9 STUDENTS CAN BRING SOMEONE FROM OUTSIDE THE SCHOOL – THESE STUDENTS MUST BE SIGNED IN ON THE LIST AT THE OFFICE PRIOR TO SEMI.  Pictures begin at 6:00 – 7:00pm (pictures will be outside weather permitting).  The dance starts at 7:00pm.

STUDENT COUNCILSummer, Floral, Tropical Theme DayFriday, May 19th – $1.00 to participate.  All proceeds towards semi decorations.

 DENTAL CLINIC – The yellow forms can be returned either directly to the clinic in room 217(if locked slip under the door) or send to the main office.  Please be sure to return the form with a yes or no indicated.

CHECKER/CHESS CLUB – Everyday at grade 7 lunch except Day 3 and 6.

COMPASSION IT – Meeting after school today in Mr. Cusack’s room.  All members are asked to attend. Meeting is from 3:15 – 4:15 pm..

A GIRLS FLAG FOOTBALL: Practice today, 3:15-4:30 pm.

FIELD HOCKEY: UPEI will be hosting a Field Hockey Camp that begins Wednesday, May 24th at UPEI. Sessions will be every Wednesday and Sunday until August 6th. Cost is only $65. Flag Football Result: The girls A Flag Football team defeated both Vernon River (24-10) and Gulf Shore (30-0).  Scoring touchdowns for EWS were Ashlyn Carpenter, Cyla MacCloskey, Jillian Sanford, and Sophia Vickerson.  Awesome defensive play by all five defensive players – even scored a couple touchdowns off interceptions. Way to go girls keep it up.

Badminton:  There is still 1 badminton jersey that needs to be returned – Alexis Fougere.  Please get it in this week.

Spring Sports (Football, Softball, Baseball, and Track and Field):  Athletic fees need to be paid by the end of next week (May 19).  Fees are $10.00 each for football, softball and baseball, $5.00 for track and field.  The track and field team has not been finalized yet, so we will be collecting that next Thursday (Meet day at UPEI).

Dominic Green threw 7 touchdown passes:  3 to Joe MacEachern, 2 to Thomas Yeo and 2 to Joseph Bertram.  Colin Walsh had 2 interceptions returned for touchdowns.
