 PARENT INFORMATION MEETING  FOR INCOMING GRADE 7 PARENTS/STUDENTS – TUESDAY, MAY 30TH IN THE CAFETERIA 7:00PM.

 INCOMING GRADE 7 STUDENTS  ORIENTATION DAY – FRIDAY, JUNE 2NDNO SCHOOL FOR OUR PRESENT GRADE 7 STUDENTS

 YOUTH DROP-IN CENTRE AT EWS – THE LAST DAY WILL BE THIS THURSDAY, MAY 25TH, 2017

 REMINDER TO STUDENTS – ENERGY DRINKS ARE NOT PERMITTED AT THE SCHOOL!!!

 PLEASE DO NOT CLIMB ON THE SOCCER NETS AT ANYTIME – THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE!!!

 REMINDER TO STUDENTS WHEN LEAVING SCHOOL PROPERTY –  THERE IS CONSTRUCTION AT THE CORNER – PLEASE STAY ON THE SIDEWALKS AND PAY ATTENTION TO THE FLAG PERSON.

 SEMI DANCE , Thursday, June 8th –  This is the GRADE 9 SEMI (grade 8 students may attend).  Grade 7’s attending with grade 9’s and people from outside the school are asked to leave at 8:00pm. JUST TO CLARIFY, GRADE 7’S CAN ONLY ATTEND THE SEMI WITH GRADE 9 STUDENTS.  GRADE 9 STUDENTS CAN BRING SOMEONE FROM OUTSIDE THE SCHOOL – THESE STUDENTS MUST BE SIGNED IN ON THE LIST AT THE OFFICE PRIOR TO SEMI.  Pictures begin at 6:00 – 7:00pm (pictures will be outside weather permitting).  The dance starts at 7:00pm.

STUDENT COUNCIL – The song suggestion list for the grade 9 semi “Hollywood Glam” will be coming down on Friday, May 26.  Sign up your favourite songs before the end of the week.

SUMMER TUTOR FORMS – Anyone looking for summer tutor forms with The Council of People with Disabilities please contact Ms. Natalie MacKinnon @ nymackinnon@edu.pe.ca

ATHLETICS:

A reminder that Athletic Fees are officially overdue. Flag football, softball, and baseball are all $10.00 track and field is $5.00.  These charges cover officials only for team sports and bussing to UPEI for the track and field team.

INTRAMURAL EXTRAVAGANZA: Students invited to take part are asked to return their permission slip and $15 to Ms. Sanderson by Friday (tomorrow). The event is scheduled for Monday, June 12th.

TRACK & FIELD: Practice Monday at Bluefield, 3:30-4:30 pm. Take Bus #153 at dismissal.

BOYS BASEBALL – Reminder of baseball game tomorrow weather permitting! 4:30 -EWS vs. Kensington @ Kensington Field

A GIRLS FLAG FOOTBALL: Practice tomorrow (Friday), 3:15-4:30 pm in the gym. Please see one of your coaches today to confirm if you will be there or not.

Boy’s flag football results last night:

AA Game 1

EWS – 28, Vernon River – 13.  Isaac Murray threw 4 touchdown passes to Dominic Green, Thomas Yeo, Matt Mingo, and Joseph Bertram.

AA Game 2

EWS – 26, Birchwood  0 – Isaac Murray threw 2 touchdown passes to Dominic Green and Joseph Bertram. Dominic Green and Jonah Keizer had interceptions returned for touchdowns

A Game 1

EWS – 58, Birchwood 0 – Luke Doiron threw 2 touchdown passes to Brady Rodd and Brandon Proude. Charlie Doiron threw a touchdown pass to Luke Doiron. Ethan Carragher had a rushing touchdown. Brett MacDonald and Gavin MacDougall had interceptions returned for touchdowns. Brady Rodd had 3 interceptions returned for touchdowns.
