MEET THE STAFF NIGHT WILL BE THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 21ST starts at 7:00pm and there will be 2 sessions. First session starts 7:00pm until 7:20pm. Second session starts 7:30pm to 7:50pm. The sessions will be held in your child’s homeroom class.
Separation/Divorce Group – Any student wanting support/assistance in dealing with parents separating/divorce are welcome to join. The group will begin next Wednesday, September 27th from 2:00-3:00pm for 12 weeks. Please see Ms. Doyle-Hogan or Mr. Mitchell ASAP. Thanks.
Mrs. Mackinley Curran’s class is organizing the annual “Drive Away Hunger” food drive and it is starting today. We are asking students, if possible, to try to donate one food item. All food donated will go to help out the Charlottetown food bank. The class that collects the most food in each grade level will win a prize! Last year we collected 1135 lbs of food to donate. GET COLLECTING!
The Golf Club is looking to finalize their numbers for 9 holes of golf this week. Schedule-wise, Thursday this week at Glen Afton for our round of golf. A meeting will be held at the end of fourth period in the cafeteria extension with more concrete information.
A reminder to students who have signed up for choir (EWS Sing), our first practice will take place today after school from 3:15pm-4pm in Ms. Campbell’s room located in the grade 8 wing. See you there!
The New Card Gamers Club – Will meet in the cafeteria extension at lunch on days 5 & 6.
Any student who would like to make a book request, can do so, by listing the novel on the book request sheet found at the circulation desk. The first order will be placed at the end of September.
Library Reminder – Students are reminded that the library is a place to come and work quietly. Students are asked to be respectful of the space and to be mindful of their surroundings, as well as, the students who are working. Students who cannot follow these rules may be asked to leave. Please note the date of your borrowed items and do your best to return your books during the date noted. Inquiries or questions regarding library books or other library issues can be directed to Mrs. Broussard in room 906 (9F in the grade nine hallway). – Thank-you!
Girls Basketball – Everyone welcome!!!! Girls Basketball will be held this Saturday only this week from 10:00am – 12:00. If you have your own basketball, please bring it with you. This is not a school team.
Girl’s Soccer: Play Birchwood at the turf today at 4:00.
Girl’s Field Hockey: Play Queen Charlotte at the turf at 4:50
Boy’s Soccer: Play at Birchwood (John St. Field) at 4:00. The boys will be taking taxis and will get picked up at 3:00 at the grade 7 doors. Please allow them to leave class at 3:45 to get ready.
