Grade 9 Band students interested who wish to play in the PEI Intermediate Honors Band this year need to sign up on the sheet on the bulletin board in the outer band room BEFORE the end of the day, Friday NEXT WEEK. Remember that if you put your name on the sheet you agree to be available the whole weekend of Jan 26, 27 and 28. If you have questions, please speak to Mr. Nabuurs.
Mr. Nabuurs hopes to have all the prizes for the Band Magazine Campaign listed on the bulletin board in the band room. The sheet to order your prizes off of the prize poster will be up next week. The ice cream party will be later in October, The passes for the trampoline park will be passed out at the Ice Cream Party.
TRANSFER BUSES – Just a reminder to EWS students transferring at Bluefield, please be sure to travel on your assigned transfer bus.

Mrs. McKinley Curran’s class is organizing the annual “Drive Away Hunger” food drive and it is starting today. We are asking students, if possible, to try to donate one food item. All food donated will go to help out the Charlottetown food bank. The class that collects the most food in each grade level will win a prize! Last year we collected 1135 lbs of food to donate. GET COLLECTING!

INTRAMURALS: It’s time for our annual Homeroom Dodgeball Derby! Students may sign-up on the sheet provided to your homeroom teacher. The purpose of this event is to promote participation, fair play, and school spirit – everyone is invited to take part. Rules are posted in the lobby.

FIELD HOCKEY: The girls defeated SIS 7-0 yesterday. Scoring for EWS were Maria McLane with 3 goals and Sarah Peters and Keera Vos who both had 2 goals. Maddison Thompson had the shut-out. Player please dismiss at 2:00pm today for the Game in Montague (High School Field) at 4:00 pm.
GIRLS BASKETBALL: Holland College is offering a Pre-season “Skills & Drills ID Camp” for female players in grades 7-12. An opportunity to train with and learn from ‘Canes players. Scheduled to take place Saturday, October 21 (9am-12pm & 1-4 pm) and Sunday, October 22nd (10am-1pm). Register by email: firstname.lastname@example.org Cost is $60/player.

Congratulations to all 44 runners that participated in the unit meet yesterday. Special recognition goes out to Aiden Ross finished 1st overall, Colby Munro 2nd, Liam Wood 3rd, Sarah MacEachern 3rd, Braeden Tremere 4th. The following students will proceed to the Provincials at Mill River Saturday, October 21st:
