Tuesday, October 17th, 2017 – Day 3

 FINAL VISIT FROM THE CAVENDISH FRY WAGON THIS WEDNESDAY!  $2.50 FOR FRIES AND $4.00 FOR FRIES AND POP!!  COME AND SUPPORT YOUR FRENCH CLUB BY EATING FRENCH FRIES

 GRADE 9 ASSEMBLY TOMORROW 2ND PERIOD IN THE GYMNASIUM.  WAIT FOR AN ANNOUNCEMENT TO BE CALLED DOWN.

 TRANSFER BUSES – Just a reminder to EWS students transferring at Bluefield, please be sure to travel on your assigned transfer bus.

 Girls Basketball – This Saturday 10:00am – 12:00pm. This is not a school team.

 Reminder that student fees are now due. 

 Hockey Academy- Gr.8/9 group will go to APM on Wednesday at 1:45 pm.  Grade 7 group will begin their sessions at Synergy fitness Next Week on Thursday, October 26th.

Also, the hockey pool is almost up and running.  All entries should be completed within the week.  A huge thank you to all that sold pools and a special congratulations to Evan Andrews for selling 33 hockey pools and winning a $50 gift card. Come see Mr. Cusack to claim your prize Evan!

Yearbook: Grade nine students that want to have their baby picture in the yearbook this year, can submit a picture to their homeroom teacher or email a picture to ewsyearbook@gmail.com. Please make sure to label the picture with the student’s name and homeroom class. The deadline for pictures is Wednesday, October 18th.

 EWS Sing choir will take place today after school, until 4pm in Ms. Campbell’s room.

 Mrs. Cusack’s room will be open during grade 8 & 9 Lunch on Day 5  and during grade 7 & 8 lunch on Day 2 for Games with Peers.  Come choose a game from the shelf and socialize with other students while playing your favorite board game or card game.

 Duke of Edinburgh Students – Please return any equipment spare tires/pumps/tubes etc. to Mr. Galaise ASAP!

 EWS Sing choir practice tomorrow (Tuesday) after school, until 4pm in Ms. Campbell’s room. 

 Cross Country Running –  practice today. Reminder of Provincials in Mill River on Saturday , October 21st. If unable to attend please see Mrs. Doyle-Hogan ASAP.

 INTRAMURALS: Dodgeball Derby

  Girls Basketball: Holland College is offering a Pre-season “Skills & Drills ID Camp” for female players in grades 7-12. An opportunity to train with and learn from ‘Canes players. Scheduled to take place Saturday, October 21 (9am-12pm & 1-4 pm) and Sunday, October 22nd (10am-1pm). Register by email: canescamp@hollandcollege.com   Cost is $60/player.

 ATHLETICS

 Athletic Fees are past due.  Please make arrangements with Mr. MacAdam to have them paid as soon as possible as we have bills to pay for fall sports.

PEP RALLY – 2:15 on Wednesday, Oct. 18

 SCREAM PARK VOLUNTEERS: Mark MacDougall will be at EWS tomorrow (Wednesday) and he would like to meet with students involved with Peer Helping, Leadership, and Duke of Edinburgh who are interested in volunteering to work the Eliot River Scream Park. Any questions, see Ms. Sanderson.
