Wednesday, November 1st is Take Your Kid to Work Day.  Please get your forms in and we look forward to a great day.  Any questions, see your Heath teacher.

 Hockey Academy.  Grade 7 group will begin their sessions at Synergy fitness this Week on Thursday, October 26th.

 Mrs. Cusack’s room will be open during grade 8 & 9 Lunch on Day 5  and during grade 7 & 8 lunch on Day 2 for Games with Peers.  Come choose a game from the shelf and socialize with other students while playing your favorite board game or card game.

 There will be a Science Fair Club Meeting on Thursday during 3rd period.  Please get your 3rd class teacher’s permission before attending.  Only members that have signed up for the club may attend the meeting.

 Happy Halloween from The Compassion It Group! On Friday, October 27th, there will be a Halloween bake sale.  The sale will take place during both lunches, everything only $1.00

 The EWS Sing Choir will practice tomorrow after school, until 4pm in Ms. Campbell’s room.

 Yearbook Cover Design Competition: The yearbook committee is looking for submissions from students for the cover of the 2017-18 yearbook.  The entry must be submitted on a plain white piece paper ( 8 1/2 x 11). The artwork should demonstrate a connection to EWS. Make sure to include the name of the school and year (2017-2018) in your artwork. The use of colour is strongly encouraged. Please ensure your name and homeroom are written in pencil on the back of the sheet.   The submissions are due by Wednesday, October 25th and are to be passed in to Mrs. Tremere-Phelan in room 904.

 LUNCH BUNCH Grade 7 lunch.  Come and discover Mozart and how it can be cool again, and other surprises! Room to be announced at lunch.


Fees:  Please pay your fees as soon as possible, or you may not be permitted to play other EWS sports.

 Jerseys:  If your season is complete, please get your uniforms back to Mr. MacAdam as we use uniforms for more than one sport.

 Schedule for tonight:

 Girl’s Soccer Play at SIS at 4:00.  This is a play off game – win and we go to the gold medal game on Thursday.  The girls will be leaving early in the 7th period.

 Girl’s Field Hockey team plays at the turf against Birchwood today at 5:00.  Winner moves on to Gold Medal Game on Thursday.

 Girl’s Volleyball team plays at 4:00 at EWS against Birchwood – regular season game.

Boy’s Volleyball team plays at Queen Charlotte at 5:30 – regular season game.

 CAFETERIA – Soft spicey chicken taco served with Mexican rice $5.25

Bluefield High School will be hosting their annual Christmas Craft Fair, Friday November 3rd  5:30 pm until 9 pm and Saturday, November 4th  10:00 am – 5 pm.  It is located at 924 Colville Road Hampshire. Admission is  $2 and children under 12 are free. There are a variety of vendors featuring hand craft items, baked goods, decorations and more. There will be door prizes, a canteen and musical entertainment  from the Bluefield Band Students.  For more information about reserving your vendor space, please contact Tanya Jackson at BHScraftfairvendors@gmail.com All proceeds support the Schools’ Music Department.
