  DANCE  THEME “FALL FIESTA” –  WEAR YOUR FALL COLOURS (ORANGE, RED AND YELLOW). The  dance will be held Thursday, November 9th

 There will be no EWS Sing practice after school today.

 GRADE 7 BAND PRACTICE TOMORROW MORNING IS CANCELLED!! Please bring your instrument to school though as we will have a practice during first period tomorrow.

 *****Library – Any student who had requested a specific novel to add to the library collection can stop by the library and browse the new books that have just arrived. There are a few novels that still need to be processed, but will be available within the week. Any student who would like to make future book requests, can do so, by listing the novel on the book request sheet found at the circulation desk

 Science Fair Club – There will be a Science Fair Club Meeting Wednesday, after school from 3:15-4:15pm in the library. Please note the change of day. 

 School Picture proof have arrived and are due back at school Monday, November 6th. Retakes will be taken on Wednesday, November 1st.

 Don’t forget our first band concert of the year this THURSDAY NIGHT starting at 7:00 PM in the Gym.

 Wednesday, November 1st is Take Your Kid to Work Day.  Please get your forms in and we look forward to a great day.  Any questions, see your Heath teacher.

 Boy’s Volleyball:

Congratulations to the boy’s volleyball team.  They defeated Stonepark in 3 sets last evening to advance to Provincials this weekend.  They play Queen Charlotte on Friday at 6:45 at Queen Charlotte.  If they win, they will play for Gold on Saturday at 3:15, also at Queen Charlotte.  Come out and support the boys.

Those teams that have completed their season, please hand in your jerseys to Mr. MacAdam as soon as possible.

Girl’s Basketball:

Try outs begin next Monday, November 6th – 3:15 – 4:45.  The girls will try out on Tuesday and Wednesday at the same time next week.

**You need to have a form signed and returned at your first practice, they can be found on the bulletin board by the cafeteria.

Boy’s Basketball:

Try outs begin next Monday, November 6th – 4:45- 6:15.  The boys will try out on Tuesday and Wednesday at the same time next week.

We will be running our annual Halloween Intramural Spooktacular today during lunch. This is organized and run by leadership students and they will need to be at their stations for both lunches. If you could please excuse the following students at 11:20 (to eat their lunch) and for both lunches today and tomorrow:

 INTRAMURALS: Halloween Spooktacular takes place again today with some new stations. All participants must be changed. This event is organized and run by the EWS Leadership Group.

 LEADERSHIP STUDENTS: Please be excused at 11:20 to prepare for Spooktacular.

 CAFETERIA – Soft beef taco served with Mexican rice and corn $5.25

Taco baked potato with side garden salad and juice $5.00

Egg salad sandwich with homemade soup of the day $4.50

Cornwall Youth Drop-In Center – Basement of Cornwall United Church Monday – Friday 2:30-6:00pm (11-17 years old).

Bluefield High School will be hosting their annual Christmas Craft Fair, Friday November 3rd  5:30 pm until 9 pm and Saturday, November 4th  10:00 am – 5 pm.  It is located at 924 Colville Road Hampshire. Admission is  $2 and children under 12 are free. There are a variety of vendors featuring hand craft items, baked goods, decorations and more. There will be door prizes, a canteen and musical entertainment  from the Bluefield Band Students.  For more information about reserving your vendor space, please contact Tanya Jackson at BHScraftfairvendors@gmail.com All proceeds support the Schools’ Music Department.
