DANCE THEME “ FALL FIESTA “ – Wear your Fall colours (yellow, orange, red). The dance will be held Thursday, November 9th.

The 150 Collabrative Art Work Display is in the cafeteria.  Check it out as several EWS students contributed their artwork.


 Yearbook: There will be a yearbook committee meeting at the beginning of first lunch in the library. Please let Mme Perry or Mme Tremere-Phelan know if you are unable to attend the meeting.

 Peer Helpers will be selling candy bags for $1.00 all week during lunch. All proceeds will go toward “Feed the Children”. 

 Congratulations to students in our band program on a terrific performance at our concert on Thursday night!  Your next concert is our Christmas concert on Wednesday night December 6.

 Girls Basketball – Saturday at 10:00am in the gym everyone welcome.  This is not a school team.

 *****Library – Any student who had requested a specific novel to add to the library collection can stop by the library and browse the new books that have just arrived. There are a few novels that still need to be processed, but will be available within the week. Any student who would like to make future book requests, can do so, by listing the novel on the book request sheet found at the circulation desk

 Band Practice Schedule for this week:

Grade 7 Band:  Friday morning at 7:50 AM

Grade 8 Band:  Thursday morning at 7:50 AM

Grade 9 Band:  Tuesday and Wednesday morning at 7:50 AM

There will be a Science Fair Club meeting in the library, Thursday after school from 3:15 – 4:15pm.

 There will be choir practice tomorrow after school, until 4pm in Ms. Campbell’s room. We will be preparing our Christmas music to perform in December, so it would be great to see everyone there. Anyone interested in singing, please feel free to join us tomorrow after school.

 REMEMBRANCE DAY CADETS participating in the assembly will rehearse Day 3, Period 3 in the gym.

 Uniforms – All fall teams are now complete, please return your uniforms to Mr. MacAdam asap.  We have a washer and dryer, so no need to wash them, just return them. 

Boy’s Volleyball:  Congratulations to the boys volleyball team.  The boys knocked off the Queen Charlotte team in semi finals action on Friday.  On Saturday, in the championship game, number 1 seed M. E. Callaghan defeated the boys 3 games to 1.  Congrats on winning Silver, boys.

There are still a few people who have no paid their fall sports fees, or made any arrangements.  Please take care of this with Mr. MacAdam.

 Cornwall Timberwolves won The Provincial Championship over Summerside this weekend 48-22.

 Town of Cornwall – “Arcade Saturday” in West River United Church basement (air hockey, ping pong and xbox) 1:00pm-4:00pm – $5.00 per person.

 Reminder to staff that the grade 9 band will be absent from classes on Wednesday until period 6 to play Remembrance Day Ceremony at the Mount.
