East Wiltshire Has Talent Variety Show – The cost is $5.00 . Proceeds to EWS Resource Department and Free the Children.  The show will be held TONIGHT at 7:00pm (stormdate of March 7th).  Special appearances by Catherine MacLellan and Brian Dunn.

 No classes on Monday, March 5th Professional Learning Day.

 Pink shirt day today. In today’s digital world, it can be impossible to escape online bullying, whether it takes the shape of harassment, spreading rumours, sharing embarrassing information or threats. This year, Pink Shirt Day is encouraging others to combat cyberbullying by thinking twice before posting something negative, and instead using the internet to spread kindness – because we know that Nice Needs No Filter!

No Wrestling this week – It will be held next week Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday.

Mentorship is cancelled for this week (due to the ski trip) – it will be rescheduled for next Thursday.

 After school drawing club signup sheet is posted outside the office . Any students/staff interested please signup up.  Every Wednesday after school 3:15 – 4:30pm for four weeks. Club will start March 7th.

National Cupcake Day Sale Today in support of the PEI Humane Society.  Cupcakes will be sold for $1.00 each. Please be generous in your support because we are competing in a friendly competition against other surrounding schools, Queen Charlotte, Stonepark and Birchwood to raise the most money for this cause. Stonepark raised $256.00, so make sure to pick up one for a $1.00.

Reminder of the ski trip on Thursday this week for all grade levels.  This is for students who have already paid and submitted their permission forms.  All students are to travel on the bus to and from Brookvale unless other arrangements have been made with their homeroom teacher.  There will be regular classes for the rest of the students.

No Ski Club this week. This is not the ski trip for the school.

Art Gallery for Talent Show Any staff or student interested in putting art work on displace for Wednesday night during the Talent show please get your piece in to Ms. Webster before lunch time on Wednesday. The sooner the better so she can make up name cards to go with each piece.

  • East Wiltshire Basketball Camp
  • Basketball camps will be running again this year starting Saturday, April 14th/2018 at East Wiltshire Intermediate School. Each camp session will be 1 hour and consist of drills and skills followed by a game. The camp will run for 8 consecutive weeks and finish on Saturday June 2nd. The cost of the program will be $40 with limited space available. Registration will be Saturday, March 10th (10am – 12 noon) at East Wiltshire Intermediate School.

 Parent Information Meetings for the Late French Immersion Program

Late French Immersion parent information meetings will be held at the following locations for parents of Grade 6 students who plan to enrol their children in Grade 7 Late French Immersion in September, 2018:

Late French Immersion program. Registration Week is March 5 – March 9, 2018 for the 2018-2019 school year

 Teachers – On Tuesday, March 6th after school, Ahnais and Amahri Young will be returning to school to test adult participants for their science fair project.  In order to make it easier for everyone, Mme. Deveau has put a sign up sheet on the staffroom door for any staff members that are interested in helping out.  Thank you.

 Moo Let’s Talk – March 1st at Charlottetown Locations.  Proceeds from ice cream sales will be donated to Canadian Mental Health Association in memory of Jason Driscoll.

  Bowl for Kids Sake will take place on March 3rd and 4th in Charlottetown, Summerside, Tignish, North Rustico and Souris.  This year’s theme is Halloween and there will be prizes for most money raised, best costume and best team name.  There is a chance to win two tickets anywhere West Jet flies in North America.  This event is our second biggest fundraiser that supports all of our programs.  More information can be found
