 **The library will be closed all day today 20th due to Grade 10 Registration.

  School Dance on April 26th @ 7:00pm, cost is $5.00.

 The theme will be Hawaiian  “The Luau”

 PHOTOGRAPHY CLUB – Grades 7 – 9 will begin Tuesday, May 1st.  This club will run every Tuesday after school from 3:05-4:00pm, for 6 weeks.  The last session will be Tuesday, June 5th.  Students are expected to bring their own camera to get the full experience, but to make sure the camera is locked securely in their locker throughout the day or given to their homeroom teacher for safe keeping.  They do not need a camera to participate if they don’t mind sharing with other students.  Students are not permitted to use their phones as cameras.  If interested in participating in this club, please sign the sign up sheet outside of Mme Gallaway’s classroom (Room 701 in the grade 7 wing) by Friday, April 27th.  Please see Mme Gallaway if you have any questions.

 YEARBOOK – The deadline to order a yearbook from the school office is TODAY.  The online order deadline is Sunday at midnight (April 22nd) https://ybpay.lifetouch.com/Order/SelectJob

 The Town of Cornwall will be holding Softball registration for youth aged 4 -16 years this Saturday from 9:30am -11:30 am at the Town Hall.

  TRYOUTS FOR PROVINCIAL BASKETBALL TEAMS:

U17 Male – Those born in 2000 or later are eligible to try out. *Only 2 positions available for those born in 2000.

7:30-9:15 PM April 18th @ Colonel Gray (Registration @ 7:15 PM) – New time due to school closures on April 17th.

11 AM-1 PM April 21st @ Three Oaks

U17 Female – Those born in 2000 or later are eligible to try out. *Only 2 positions available for those born in 2000.

Coach Katie Donahoe would like to encourage all eligible athletes to come and try-out for the U17 Women’s Provincial Team. All athletes born in 2001 and later are eligible. There are also up to two positions open to athletes born in 2000. The team will compete in various Eastern Canadian tournaments this spring and summer, including the National U17 Championships being held in Fredericton, NB August 6-11. The tryout schedule is as follows:

Try-out #1 – Wed, Apr 18th, 6-7pm at Charlottetown Rural

Try-out #2 – Fri, Apr 20th, 7-9pm at Charlottetown Rural

U15 Male – Those born in 2002 or later are eligible to try out. *Only 2 positions available for those born in 2002.

 Westwood Community Flea Market – Vendors Wanted!

Westwood Primary in Cornwall is pleased to announce that we will be hosting a community Flea Market on Saturday May 5th, 2018 from 9am – 1pm at our school (80 Meadowbank Road).  Admission will be $2 a person (children under 12 are free).  We will also be hosting a BBQ and have other food items to purchase.  We are looking for vendors to sell either your used goods or commercial items.  Tables can be rented for $15 (or 2 for $25).  Vendor set up will be from 7:30am-9am on Saturday morning.  To book your table, please contact Terra Doucette (902) 368-6855.  For Westwood families, you can reserve your table using our school hot lunches program.  Tables must be booked by April 30th.  All proceeds from this event will go towards Westwood Primary initiatives.  Let your Spring cleaning commence!
