 Reminder Meet the Staff Night will be held this Thursday, September 20th @ 7:00pm.

 Students – Reminder to please have your student fees and student information forms into your homeroom teacher as soon as possible. 

BAND

Any students in grade 8 or 9 band who would like to be in the jazz band this year are asked to sign up on the sheet in the outer band room by Friday of this week please.  First rehearsal will be next week.

 The Band Magazine Campaign fundraiser starts today.  ALL band students will be absent from 7th period class Wednesday to attend the start up rally in the cafeteria.

 Wrestling/Boxing Club – The club will start next week – check the announcements.

 ATHLETICS

** Students planning to try out for teams are reminded to have forms filled out and pass them in to coaches at the first practice.

3:30 – 5:00 – Girl’s Soccer – TFC Soccer Turf – Take bus 171 from the school.

4:45 – 6:30 – Girl’s Volleyball – Gym

Thursday, Sept. 20

4:15 – Field Hockey @ SIS – CUP Turf

4:15 – Girl’s Soccer vs. KISH TFC Soccer Turf – Take bus 171 from the school.

3:30 – 5:00 – Boy’s Soccer @ Queen Charlotte

5:30 – Boy’s Volleyball @ Stonepark

4:45 – 6:30 – Girl’s Volleyball – Gym

 FIELD HOCKEY:  Congratulations to the girls for winning their season opener 3-0. Goal scorers were Payton Kelly (2) and Keera Vos, with strong mid-field play from Sarah MacEachern and Rachel Richards. Shut out by Georgia Mallett.  The team is back in action today as they play Birchwood at 3:35pm at the TFC.  Players, please be excused at 1:50pm and be prepared for the bus.

 INTRAMURALS: Today is free-play Badminton. Students who would like to take part must be changed into gym clothes and  be wearing indoor sneakers. Come at the beginning of your lunch to book a court and time.

 EWS Terry Fox Run/Walk: Taking place Friday, September 28th during last period. More information to come!

 EWS Golf Club / Team : The EWS Golf Club will be playing a fun round of golf this Thursday 1pm at Glen Afton Golf Course. All students are asked to have their forms signed and passed in to Mr. Currie (Rm. 708) ASAP. The cost of the round will be $15, it will be an additional $5 if you plan on renting clubs. This will also serve as a tryout for the EWS golf team.”

 Hockey Academy – There will be a meeting for ALL Hockey Academy Members TODAY  Period 2 in the cafeteria extension.  Please get teacher’s permission before attending.  If unable to make it contact Mr.Cusack.

 Anyone wishing to participate in a 8 week support group for children of separated/divorced parents or guardians please see Mrs. Doyle-Hogan or Mr. Mitchell, school counsellors. It will take place on Wednesdays during 7th period, beginning September 26th.

 RODD’S TAEKWONDO

Your child can build their confidence while having fun learning a martial art from qualified black belt instructors. Start the school year with our $100 Introductory special which includes the first month of instruction and a Taekwondo uniform. Beginner classes are on Tuesday and Thursday nights 7:45-8:45 (teens and adults).
