 NOTE TO GRADE 8 & 9 PARENTS/STUDENTS regarding Semi Dance on Thursday, May 31st @ 7:00 pm –  Any students who are getting up picked up early are to bring a note to present to their teacher (indicating who is picking them up if not their own parents).  We ask that students be picked up either at the break 10:45am or lunchtime to reduce the amount of interruptions to the rest of the classes. Just a reminder that no bus passes will be issued on dance day.

Cost for the dance will be $5.00. The theme this year is “A Night In Paris”.

The girl’s softball team defeated Birchwood 25-24.  The winning pitcher was Ashley Cullen.  Players of the game was Winter Walsh and Emily Thistle.

The AA Boy’s Flag football team defeated The Mount Academy 43-23 last night, clinching first place.

INTRAMURAL EXTRAVAGANZA: The list of participants is posted in the lobby. There will be a meeting 6th Period today for those students – please wait to be paged down.

 Congrats to the A Girl’s Flag Football team.  They won both of their games last night, 45-0 over Queen Charlotte Black, and 40-13 over Vernon River.  They have clinched first place in the East division and a bye in the first round of the play offs.  Congratulations to the players and coaches.

  ZONE 2 TRACK & FIELD SPECIAL OLYMPICS – East Wiltshire students had a great day at the Zone 2 Met on Friday.  The students from EWS had a top place showing overall! The results were as follows;

1st place to Matthew Jehn in 60m run, shotput and standing long jump.

1st place Nathan Scheuermann in 60m run

1st place Audrey Mitchell  in girl’s shotput and standing long jump, and she finished 2nd in 60m run.

The AA Girl’s Flag Football team lost their first two games of the season 19-18 to Queen Charlotte and 34-27 to Montague last night.  A great effort considering 7 of the regulars are on the band trip in Nova Scotia and the A team players filled in for them!

 The Girl’s Softball team defeated Queen Charlotte # 2 team 15-0 last night.  Winning pitcher was Kylee Campbell.  Players of the game were Emily Thistle and Brooke Foster
